Some treatments, such as for cancer of the eye, are still relatively new but many others are well established internationally.  For complex, inaccessible tumours CyberKnife radiosurgery may be the only option but it is not suitable for all types of cancer or for all patients.
In certain cancer cases it may be used as a palliative treatment only.  Even if life is not prolonged, it may ease pain and suffering and improve quality of life for the patient.
Non-cancer treatments include acoustic neuroma and trigeminal neuralgia.
CyberKnife may provide a stand-alone treatment or form part of a broader package and centres vary in their facilities, specialities and approach.  The nearest CyberKnife centre may not always the most appropriate one for you and costs can vary substantially.
The European CyberKnife Centre treats most brain tumours in a single session.
MHL and CyberKnife
We are not doctors and we cannot examine, diagnose or advise patients.  We do however have several years experience in handling CyberKnife enquiries and this has gained our enquiry service access to new centres.
CyberKnife is just one of a range of technologies featured on MHL web sites and we have no financial or contractual relationship with the manufacturers, Accuray Inc.
